Autumn001

Snake River, Wyoming

This image was taken at sunrise at the Snake River overlook in Teton National Park. There were many other photogs there that morning capturing the peak autumn colors. Although this image is from one of the most photographed spots in the USA, it is a wonderful area I enjoy traveling to every autumn.

Autumn002

Mono Lake, Eastern Sierra

This image is from Mono Lake near Lee Vining in the Eastern Sierra. In autumn the colors of the desert grasses change to a range of golden and brown hues. This shot was taken at sunrise near the south tufa area.

Autumn003

Mount Whitney, Eastern Sierra

This is Mount Whitney at sunrise from the Alabama hills. We drove around the Alabama Hills searching for the best colors in the low lying shrubs and found these in a swale. I enjoy the wonderful yellow and reds of the desert in autumn.

Autumn004

Wasatch Mountains, Utah

This shot was taken in the Wasatch mountains near Park City, Utah. The red understory vegetation adds interest to the aspen grove.

Autumn005

Wasatch Mountains, Utah

This autumn trail in the Wasatch mountains was developed by combing 2 exposures to obtain maximum dynamic range between the shadows and highlights. I used Photoshop CS3 beta for this one.
